Position Overview: As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the entire finance function of the company. You will be at the forefront to ensure that the company generates and retains the desired margins to ensure sustainability and improve financial growth. Financial Management Monitor the following day-to-day financial operations within the company these are but not limited to, Client Invoicing and following up on payments in line with agreed invoicing terms and guidelines, Making approved payments, Maintaining and tracking the Company daily cash position Generate and coordinate clients payrolls and ensure all statutory payments are timely executed. Take lead in preparing costing schedules and assumptions to assist Business Manager submit appropriate proposals to clients. Ensure company accounts are audited Ensure the company monthly budget is prepared presented to management by the 1st of the month. Consistently track the company's financial status, identify areas for potential improvement & advise management accordingly. Provide insightful information and recommendations to management to aid in long-term and short-term decision making Ensure Monthly bank reconciliation is done by the 2rd of the following month. Review financial data, prepare monthly managementreports by the 3rd of the following month with conclusions and recommendations. Establish and maintain financial policies and accounting procedures for the company Review current financial process and ensure adequate financial controls are in place. Supervise the Accounts Assistant duties and responsibilities Any other duties as maybe assigned by the Business Manager Key Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance/Accounting required Certified/Chartered Accountant Level II ACCA /CPA (T) is a plus At leats 3 years in Accounting, Administration or Finance required. Knowledge of Companies Act, Income Tax Act and Labor laws of Tanzania. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Knowledge on the use Accounting Packages, and MS Office356 Experience in complex multi-currency transactions is a plus. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate from recognized institute (VETA, NIT) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. (Class: B, C, D) Proven experience as a professional driver preferred. Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes. Excellent driving skills and a strong safety record. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and efficiently. Neat and professional appearance. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is a plus. Flexibility in working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage or packages.
